It’s not yesterday. Not tomorrow. It’s today.
The past already did its thing. Failed. Succeeded. Taught. And left.
Staying there fixes nothing. It only steals time. And time doesn’t come back.
The future promises nothing. It may come or not. It could be incredible or not exist at all.
Maybe tomorrow you won’t be here.
When you accept that, without fear, without resistance, you stop postponing life.
You stop saying later. You stop waiting for the perfect moment.
Because it doesn’t exist.
Life happens now. In this second. In this heartbeat that insists.
That’s why I decided not to hate. Hate wears you down.
Not to hold grudges. They weigh too much.
Not to fight what I can’t change.
I learned to let go.
Let go of expectations. Let go of unanswered questions. Let go of what’s not mine to carry.
I chose calm. Laughter. The simple things.
Smiling stopped being a reaction. Now it’s a way of being.
Sometimes it’s happiness. Sometimes it’s peace. Sometimes it’s silent resistance.
Life isn’t two days. Life is all the days before the one inevitable moment.
And it’s not worth spending them angry, worried, trapped in loops that lead nowhere.
I don’t want a perfect life. I want a lived life.
Laugh more. Enjoy the small things. Value what’s here. And remain.
Remain in today. That’s sustained presence.
Don’t run. Don’t harden. Don’t carry more than you need.
Today I choose to be here. Whole. Present.
Because being alive isn’t a prize. It’s an opportunity that doesn’t repeat itself.
Maya. Abril.
This is for you.
Life won’t always be kind. There will be days when breathing hurts and others when everything falls into place.
Feel everything. The laughter. The sadness. The fear. The joy.
But remember this: no emotion rules over you. None has the right to break you.
Emotions pass. You remain.
There will be heavy todays. Todays that tire you. Todays that seem like too much.
And then another today will come. Always.
If you learn to live the day in front of you, without getting trapped in yesterday or paralyzed by tomorrow, you’ll be free.
And if you’re free, you’ll be strong.
And if you’re strong, you’ll be happy.
Not because life is easy, but because you’ll know how to hold yourself and let go when needed.
Falling is human. Staying on the ground isn’t.
Live. Feel. Rise.
This isn’t a lesson. It’s a reminder.
When life gets heavy, come back to now.
This instant is enough.
For Maya and Abril, always.
