Network namespace

Description: A network namespace is an isolated network environment within the Linux kernel that allows multiple network stacks to coexist. This feature is fundamental for virtualization and containerization, as it enables different applications or services to operate on their own networks without interfering with each other. Each network namespace has its own network configuration, including network interfaces, IP addresses, and routes, providing a high degree of isolation and security. This means that processes running in a network namespace cannot see or communicate with processes in other namespaces unless explicit connections are established. This functionality is particularly useful in microservices and container environments, where multiple instances of applications need to run independently and securely. Additionally, network namespaces are an integral part of technologies that leverage this feature to efficiently and scalably manage container networks.
