Publish Event

Description: A publication event is a notification sent to subscribers about a change in data. In the context of databases, these events are crucial for maintaining synchronization between different parts of an application. When a change occurs in the database, such as the insertion, update, or deletion of a record, an event is generated that can be captured and processed by other components of the system. This allows applications to proactively respond to changes, updating user interfaces, sending notifications, or performing other necessary actions. Publication events are part of a design pattern known as ‘publish-subscribe’, where event producers (publishers) send messages to a channel and consumers (subscribers) receive only those messages that interest them. This architecture promotes decoupling between components, facilitating system scalability and maintenance. Publication events can be used in conjunction with tools like Change Streams, which allow applications to listen for real-time changes in data collections, enhancing interactivity and user experience.
